ADHA National Board Review Course

An Adaptive Approach to Review for your Dental Hygiene Boards

  • Content broken up into mini-lectures.
  • Live sessions covering board exam questions.
  • Self-Assessment Exams & digital study guide included.
  • Developed by 6 professors.

The ADHA National Board Review Course has been redesigned to be more responsive and flexible for our dental hygiene students. The course has now been broken up into two components: a live component and an on-demand component.

The bulk of the content is covered in the on-demand component of the course. Here, all subject areas, including Periodontology, Biochemistry & Nutrition, Clinical Dental Hygiene, Radiology, Oral Pathology, Pharmacology, Community Oral Health & Research Principles, and Dental Materials, are broken into topic specific mini-lectures. This allows for greater detail and coverage. More importantly though, this format allows student to target their studying based upon their individual knowledge rather than having to go through an entire lecture to review any specific topic.

The live component of the course consists of a series of live online webinars with our professors to go over board exam-style questions. In these sessions, professors will present specific questions over topics covered

in the on-demand mini-lectures aimed at gauging students’ knowledge of the topic. Professors will review the questions with students in real-time and cover concepts relating to each topic as well as rationale and strategies to successfully answer the sample board questions.

Since this is a live setting, students will be allowed to ask questions to clarify any point, concept or answer discussed during the live session. This also presents a valuable opportunity for students to ask questions regarding any concepts discussed in any of the topic-driven mini-lectures.

This unique course also includes a digital study guide, a Self-Assessment Exam (SAE) and additional sample board exam questions aimed at helping students to improve their test-taking skills.

This new format takes advantage of our state-of-the-art Learning Management System (LMS) and allows students to access content on their computer or mobile device from anywhere with Internet access.

Why is this a game-changer? Imagine you have a few minutes as you wait at a bus stop or for your doctor’s appointment. You can take that time to go through a Clinical Dental Hygiene mini-lecture and do a few self-assessment questions while you wait.
